Bacon Hill Cemetery, Northumberland, Saratoga, NY, USA
Notes: From FindaGrave.com
Bacon Hill was an area once occupied by Mohican Indians. They were driven off by the Mohawks before European settlers moved in. The name started as Normanstown, then Fiddletown, then Pope's Corners. Ebenezer Bacon bought Pope's property in 1794, openned a store and the place has been called Bacon Hill ever since. Ebenezer Bacon and his wife are both buried here. The Cramers, Brisbins, Thompsons and Vanderwerkers were also early settlers to the town. The cemetery was started by the Bacon Hill Church which was built in 1820. Soldiers of at least 5 wars are buried here: Revolutionary, War of 1812, Civil War, Mexican War and WWI.
