      FORMER RESIDENT, RETIRED VA AIDE, DIES IN BUFFALO
      Victor B. LaBarre, 78, of 127 St. James Place, Buffalo, a native of Lockport, died Sunday (Dec. 17, 1967) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo. He was born in Lockport on Dec. 1, 1889, the son of Charles W. and Jennie Baker LaBarre, and moved to Buffalo 45 years ago. Mr. LaBarre was a retired director of the Interviewing section of the Veterans Administration office in Buffalo. He joined the Veterans Administration in 1946, retiring in 1952. He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the Machine Gun Co. of 108th Infantry, and was a captain in the New York State National Guard during World War II. During the latter war, he was employed as an expediter at Bell Administration Center in Niagara Falls. He is survived by his widow, the former Ada Spelman. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m- at the Johnson and Wilkins Funeral Home, 448 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Lockport.

Friends may call Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home of Johnson and Wilkins Co., Inc., 448 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, where the funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30. Interment in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Lockport, N.Y.
