  from Legacy.com obituary Gertrude "Trudi" (Gassaway) Illsley of San Antonio passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2006, two days short of her 91st birthday. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elwyn "Al" Wendell Illsley, in 2001. Gertrude was born in Christine, Texas on June 30, 1915. She was the only child of early Christine residents, Lena (Martin) and John Ewell Gassaway. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, parents and grandparents at the Christine City Cemetery. Pallbearers are her cousins, Tom Martin, Jr. (George West), Jeff Martin, III (George West), Jeff Sibley (Tilden), Bill Pack (San Antonio), Bill Sibley (Christine) and Jerry Colley (Tilden).
