  from "The Otsego Farmer", 25 Jan 1901 (fultonhistory.com) BURLINGTON FLATS The funeral of Mrs. Amy Perkins occurred Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. Harry Rines officiating. Death came suddenly through not unexpectedly, for Mrs. Perkins had been afflicted for months with a serious disease which caused her friends much anxiety. Mrs. Perkins was beloved by all who knew her and her death causes heart-felt sorrow throughout the community. She was 69 years of age and for many years had been a faithful member of the M.E. church. She leaves one son James, who with his wife, have cheered and brightened her declining years, with loving care and kindness.
