ASA L. PALMER
Morristown, Aug. 17. - Asa L. Palmer, a prominent citizen and until recently business man of Morristown, died suddenly at 9:15 this morning at his residence in that village. He had not been in good health for two years and was continually under the care of a physician. This morning, however, he felt no worse than usual, and upon arising dressed himself. Shortly after Mrs. Palmer was attracted to his room by groans and found her husband lying prostrate across the bed. A doctor was summoned but before he arrived Mr. Palmer had breathed his last. Heart disease, of which he had been a victim, was the cause of death. The late Mr. Palmer, who was about 60 years of age, was born on the shore of Black Lake, six miles from the village. For many years he conducted a general store where the printing office is located, retiring two years ago on account of ill health. Deceased is survived by his wife, who is a daughter of late Dr Selee, and two children, Burton Palmer at home and Mrs. Robinson, of Elmira. He was a Mason and honoraary member of the I.O.F. - from "The Ogdensburg Journal", 17 Aug 1909 (nnyln.net)
