The book "Landmarks of Monroe County" refers to "Rev Robert Hill, Thomas and George Hill, and their sister, Mrs. Emerson" 4 Per biography of Hervey Hill from “History of Defiance County”, 1883 "Harvey J. Hill was born April 5, 1818, in Orleans County, N. Y., and remained there until he was about sixteen years of age. From there he went to Pennsylvania with his parents, Thomas S. and Olive (Cole) Hill, at which place his mother died. His father died in New York."Per 5.
