George H. Sibley received his A.B. Degree from Princeton University in 1920, and an LL.B. Degree from Harvard in 1923. He was an instructor of English at Ecole d'Auteuil in Paris, France, in 1923, and he returned to be an attorney for Murrey Aldrich and Roberts (now Milbank Tweed, Hope and Hadley) in New York from 1923 to 1927. For the next ten years he worked in the investment banking firm of J. and W, Seligman and Company in New York. From 1937, to his retirement he served with the E. R. Squibb and Sons Company as general attorney, member of the executive and finance committees and in various other executive positions in branches of the company in Mexico, Brazil, Turkey, England, Argentina, Canada and Belgium. He was active in the directorships of several universities, banks and world organizations and he served in executive positions in several professional organizations. He was active in the Young Republican movement in New York in the 1930's, and was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1932, and the New York State Conventions in 1932, 1936, and 1940. His club activities included membership in the New York Republican, University, Downtown Athletic and Princeton Alumni Clubs. He was an officer in several of the clubs. He wrote several articles including "Biographical Sketch of John G. Wynant". He retired in 1960, and lived in New York City.
