  from "Michigan Obituaries, 1820-2006" (familysearch.org) transcript from "The Hudson Post", 9 Nov 1888 Mary Ann Hill was born in Orleans co, NY, Oct 31, 1808; died on her birthday, 1888, just 80. Married Moses Rice of her native town, & they moved to Medina. During 1st 7 yrs her husband & 2 dau died, his death occurring in 1843. Was mother of 13 children, 8 of whom survive, 1 son & 7 daus. Funeral held at home of her dau, Mrs. Geo Lowe, 2 miles S of Hudson. Other children present were Emerson Rice & wife, Batavia, MI; M/M Geo Lowe, Hudson; Mr. Flora Ames, Hudson; M/M F P Richards, Chicago, Ill; Mr Bathrick, Davidson Station, MI; Mrs. C E Lowe (grandau), Mrs E Lowe, Yspi.
