  From June 30, 2008, The Indianapolis Star Bob Volz 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 28, 2008. He was born on June 18, 1929 to Bernard J. Volz, who preceded him in death, and Thelma Volz. Bob was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked at AllisonGM for 41 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and the K of C #3682, of which he was very active. He served as the Eucharistic Minister and Trustee of the church and was the Co-Chairman for the church bingo. Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley Volz; sons, Michael (Kim), Bernie (Lacee) and Mark Volz; mother, Thelma Volz; sister, Mary (Bob) Kachel; brothers, Richard (Mary Ann) and Bernard Volz; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Christopher Church, located on 16th and Lynhurst in Speedway, on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W 10th St, Indpls, on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 from 4-7:30 pm with a 7:30 pm K of C Rosary. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
