John B. Hough, well known retired farmer, passed away at Methodist hospital in Peoria Saturday afternoon following an illness of several years. He was born in Galva June 6, 1877, a son of William and Emma Day Hough. He was united in marriage to Miss Rosene Pauline Klepfer December 21, 1898, she passed away October 11, 1906. December 26, 1910 he married Miss Florence Pullen of Dunlap. He lived in Stark county for a few years and 1901 the Houghs moved to Akron township about two and one half miles east of Princeville and resided on the farm until his retirement a few years ago. Surviving are his wife: two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Adams of Princeville and Mrs. Rosene VanSandt of Indianapolis, Ind., one granddaughter, Miss Frances Adams, a sister, Mrs. William Luff of Kokomo, Ind., a nephew, William S. Hough of Kokomo Ind. And a niece, Miss Elizabeth Luff of Kokomo, Ind. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother and sister and a son, Paul Simpson Hough. Funeral services were held in the Bouton Memorial Home Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Arnold Dalzell of the Presbyterian church in charge. He was laid to rest in the Princeville cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews, Ben, Robert, Chester and Alva Pullen. Harold Hall and Ralph Streitmaiter. Among those attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Luff and daughter Elizabeth and Mr. and Mrs. William of Kokomo, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Larson of Abingdon, Mrs. Eliza Orendorf of Peoria and Mrs. Emmel Bloeser of Moline.
