  From "The Lockport Union-Sun & Journal", 13 May 1931 Letters testamentary on the estate of Mrs. Grace Emerson, widow of Jerome Emerson a former officer of the Farmers' and Mechanics' Saving Bank, were issued to a son, Robert E. Emerson of Elmira. Mrs. Emerson died In this city on May 2. Her estate consists of $6,000 real and $9,000 and upwards personal property. Bequests of $600 each are made to a sister-in-law, Mrs. George Emerson of Lockport, and to two legatees, Miss Elizabeth Robinson of Elmira and Miss Grace G. Nicholls of Lockport. A diamond pin is left to a daughter, Mrs. Mabel E. Sherwood of Buffalo and a piano to a daughter, Edith G. Croxson of Lockport. The remainder of the estate is divided equally among the children, J. Everett Emerson, Caroline S. Holley and Edith G. Croxson of Lockport, Fred D. Emerson of Schenectady, Mabel E. Sherwood of Buffalo and Robert E. Emerson of Elmira from "The Lockport Union-Sun & Journal", 2 May 1931 (fultonhistory.com) Grace Dunlap, widow of the late Jerome E. Emerson, died at her home, 338 East avenue, this Saturday morning, May 3, 1991. She to survived by three daughters and three sons, Robert E. of Elmlra, N. Y., Mrs. Bradford Sherwood of Buffalo, N. Y., Fred D. of Schenectady, N. Y., J. Everett, Mrs. Bruce O. Holly and Mrs. Leslie D. Croxson of this city, also twelve grandchildren, one sister and one brother, Mrs. Elizabeth D. Luce and Robert W. Dunlap of this city. Funeral services will be held from the heme Monday afternoon, May 4th. at 3 o'clock. Interment Cold Springs cemetery.
