    • The wedding of Miss Lillian M. Watson, of Napa, and Mr. Leland Stanford Lathrop took place last Thursday at the residence of Mr. Goodrich, in Berkeley. The groom is a son of Mr. Charles G. Lathrop and one of the heirs to a portion of the estate of the late Leland Stanford. He is in the employ of the Southern Pacific Company. Miss Rowena Watson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mr. Frank McC. Van Ness was best man. Rev. E. B. Spalding, of this city, performed the ceremony. The wedding was very happily celebrated.

      Leland S. Lathrop Jr. of 331 Golden Gate Avenue, Belvedere, died yesterday in a San Francisco convalescent hospital after a long illness. Lathrop was the son of one of Belvedere’s first residents, Leland S. Lathrop, who served as mayor of the city for many years. Lathrop had been with Bank of America but retired many years ago. He had lived in Belvedere most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Mary Davis Lathrop. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at N. Gray and Co., San Francisco. Memorial contributions may be made to the Society of Helpers, San Francisco or to the donors favorite charity.

      Leland Stanford Lathrop Jr., a grand-nephew of Leland Stanford, former governor, railroad tycoon and founder of Stanford University, and his wife Jane Lathrop Stanford, died in a convalescent home here yesterday. An employee of the Bank of America many years, Mr. Lathrop was a scion of a wealthy and social San Francisco family. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Davis Lathrop, of 2201 Sacramento St., and a cousin, Mary Helen Watson Kirchner of Cuernavaca, Mexico. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at N. Gray & Co., Divisadero and Post Streets. Memorial offerings to the Society of Helpers, 214 Haight St., or a favorite charity are preferred.
