A pall of sorrow was cast over the entire Fredonia community with the death of Mrs. Nettie S. Grim at 10:20 Monday evening, after a long illness of two months. Mrs. Grim waged a valiant but losing fight for life. Although 75 years of age, she was active until stricken about two months ago. Born in Delaware township, a daughter of the late William and Nancy Woods, she had lived her entire life in Mercer county. With her husband she had been a resident of Fredonia since 1881. Mrs. Grim was a devout member of the Presbyterian church and was beloved and respected by all. She took an active interest in community affairs and was widely known in the county. Mrs. Grim is survived by her husband and the following children: Harry, Sharon; Walter, Greenville; Della, New Castle; L. Davidson, Fredonia. Three grandchildren, Mrs. George Apthorpe, Orangeville, O., Delos Grim, Greenville, and Sherry McDowell, Fredonia; one sister Mrs. E.S. Cousins, Redlands, Cal., and a brother, Prof. Harry I. Woods, Stillwater, Okla., also survive. Funeral services will be held from the house at 2 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Peoples officiating. Interment will be in Millbank cemetery.
