  from "The Akron Weekly Pioneer Press", 8 Dec 1916 (coloradohistoricnewspapers.org) Mrs. Mary A. Clark is dead, having passed away after many months of suffering. The end came at her home in Akron. She had lived here since the Eighties; had served as postmistress for several years and was a leader in social affairs. Born December 13, 1856, died December 5, 1916. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Wednesday and the Eastern star services were conducted a the grave. A good woman is gone. She was always a kind hearted neighbor and friend and her life was an excellent example for young and old. Her name and many kind deeps will not soon be forgotten.
