MRS. BAKER DIES AT 76
SANBORN - Mrs. Nellie A. Baker, 76, of Townline Road, died Wednesday (Oct. 19,1960) at Lockport Memorial Hospital after an illness of two weeks. She was the widow of Edward Baker, who died in 1943. Born in Town of Cambria Jan. 5, 1884, Mrs. Baker was a daughter of the late Frank and Rose Baer Kline. She was a member of Pekin Grange, American Legion Auxiliary, the First Baptist Church of Sanborn and of its Volunteer Sunday School Class. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Beth Bodie, Sanborn, and Mrs. Shirley Robinson, Ventnor, N.J.; two sons, Clarence and Sterling Baker, both of Pekin; two brothers, Raymond Kline, Sanborn, and Clarence Kline, Pekin; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pike & Jones Funeral Home by the Rev. William H. Webster. Members of the auxiliary of Legion Post No. 969 will hold a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery.

Beth H. Bodie of Sanborn, a former postmistress of the Sanborn Post Office, died Monday in Crestwood Health Care Center, Wheatfield, after a long illness. She was 93. Born Beth Hall in North Tonawanda, she was a longtime resident of Sanborn. She retired from the post office in 1975. Mrs. Bodie was a member of Community Bible Church of Lockport, the Niagara Falls Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Christian Club of Niagara Falls and the Sanborn Area Historical Society. She served on the Sanborn Citizens Advisory Board for several years. She held Bible study classes in her home for many years. Surviving are a sister, Shirley Dintenfass of Atlantic City, and a brother, Sterling Baker of Sanborn. Services will be at noon Saturday in Community Bible Church, 4168 Church Road, Lockport. Burial will be in the Mount View Cemetery, Cambria.
