SPRINGFIELD, Dec. 19 - A hired man, Clarence Perkins, 55, was found dead yesterday of gunshot wounds in the barnyard of the farm where he had been employed for 14 years. Perkins was found lying in the yard of the Earl Aldrich farm n the Fairground road about 4:20 p.m. He was last seen by members of the Aldrich family when he was shoveling snow about 11 a.m. Police Chief Sherman A. Martin indicated no foul play was involved. A shotgun and a wood lathe were found near the body. Perkins was pronounced dead by Dr. Lyle W.
