  from "The San Diego Union", 10 Jun 1970 (genealogybank.com) EDWARD C. VOLZ Recitation of the Rosary for Edward C. Volz, 75, of 3642 Highland Ave., a retired electrical contractor who died Sunday in a nursing home, will be tonight in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. A Requiem Mass will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow in the church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Volz, born in Wisconsin, had been in the electrical contracting business 45 years. He was past president of East San Diego Senior Citizens Club. Surviving are his widow, Helen; two sons, Edward of Vista, and William of San Diego; three daughters, including Mrs. Eileen Greason and Mrs. Virginia Jensen, both of San Diego; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Faye and Mrs. Marie Ellis; a brother, Paul, all of San Diego; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Rogers Mortuary is in charge.
