Mrs. Ethel H. Day, 91, a resident of Proctor Home since July 3, 1958, died there at 9:50 p.m. yesterday. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a master's degree in education. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a former member of the Peoria Women's Club and past president of the College Women's Club of Peoria. Born Aug. 21, 1888, in Bellevue, Iowa, she was a daughter of Horace A. and Emma Satchwell Hollister. She married Warren Day Sept. 7, 1910. He died Dec. 18, 1966. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Day Elson and Mrs. Murial Day Foster, both of New York City. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Private graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Springdale Cemetery, the Rev. Alfred Basten officiating. There will be no visitation. Endsley & Son Funeral Home, 1125 Main, is in charge fo arrangements.
