Notes - from "Our Young family in America" by E.H Young, 1947
ELIZABETH YOUNG was born, June 9 1795, in Morris County, N. J. according to records in her brother's Bible. (Rec. 39) She died and was buried in Perkins Township, Erie County, O. Elizabeth married Andrew Perkins in Knox County, Ohio, the early records of which are scattered between Mansfield and Mt. Vernon, and those at Mt. Vernon in 1942 were stored in the attic and inaccessible, according to officials! Deed records at Mansfield, O. reveal that Andrew Perkins in 1813 bought land from John Young, jr., and Jan. 13 1821 Noah Young (Rec. 28) sold land in Range 18 to Andrew Perkins. Also in 1 82 1 Andrew and Elizabeth Perkins sold land in Troy Township, Richland County, to Noah Young. This places the marriage of Elizabeth before 1821. Three of the children of Andrew and Elizabeth were: Lewis, Elias, and Hannah Perkins. The latter married a Mr. Beech (Mrs. Bertha
Curtiss Anderson, Los Angeles, Calif.). Andrew was a kinsman of the Hon. Elias Perkins, resident of New London, Conn, after whom the township of Perkins derived its name (Hist, of Erie County, O., Lewis C. Aldrich).
