William Perkins, s. David and Hannah (Fabens), was born Apr. 7, 1807. PR423 - from "The family of John Perkins of Ipswich, Massachusetts"
William (David, Francis, Jacoh, Isaac, John, John) was born in Salem, Mass., April 7, 1807. He married, in 1850, Nancy (Shed) Saunders, widow, of Tewksbury, Mass. He died Jan. 8, 1879. She was born Feb. 10, 1803, and died Jan. 27, 1878. He was a blacksmith by trade. He sailed, in 1832, as armorer of a trading vessel to the Fejee Islands, where the vessel was wrecked; but the lives of all the crew were saved, and he resided for two years among the cannibals of these islands, before an opportunity offered to return home. After his marriage he resided upon a small farm in Tewksbury, Mass., until his death. They had no children.
