Mr. Carl Woods died Saturday, April 30, at about 12:30 a.m. at her home near Murray. She was 68 years old. Mrs Woods suffered a stroke about two months ago from which she did not recover. She had been taken from the hospital to her home several week sago an was being card for her daughter, Mrs. Wilma Stout, a nurse, when death came to her from a second stroke. She is survived by her husband, another, daughter, Jean, Mrs. Robert Porterfield of Weldon, and two sons, Paul of Clarke county and Lowell of Des Moines. There are numerous more distant relatives. A number of these from northern Iowa well attend the funeral services for Mrs. Woods, which will be in charge of Watts funeral services and will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock in the Methodist church of Murray with Rev. Underwood, a former pastor, officiating. Burial well be in the Murray cemetery.

Last rites for Mrs. Carl Woods, 69, were held Tuesday, May 3, at 2:00 p.m. in the Murray Methodist church with the Rev. R. Underwood of Fremont, a former pastor here, officiating, assisted by Rev. Lacy Thompson, pastor of the church. Mrs Woods was laid to resst int he Murray cemetery beside her tow infant children, Muriel and Warren, and sons, Earl and Wilbur, who preceded her, wiht Watts Service in charge. She is survived by her husband, Carl, two sons, Paul of Murray, Lowell of Des Moines, two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Stout of Murray and Jean (Mrs. Robert Porterfield) of Weldon, and none grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Ray Woods of Murray, and one brother, George Roberts of Tuscon, Arizona.
