MRS. BERTHA B. WOODS, 68, DIES
Wife of Regional Forest Official Had Been Ill Many Months
Mrs. Bertha Blaisdell Woods, 68, wife of Assistant Regional Forester Clarence N. Woods, 2751 Harrison avenue, died today at the family home, of carcinoma. Mrs. Woods had been a sufferer for many months. Mrs. Woods was born December 31, 1865, near Pittsburg, Kansas, and in that state she obtained her education. More than 35 years ago she moved to Idaho and taught in the schools of Caldwell, Boise and Halley. She was elected to two terms as school superintendent of Blaine county. She and Mr. Woods were married in Nampa, Idaho, March 5, 1913, and the following year moved to Ogden, which has since been the family home. Mr. Woods was formerly supervisor of the Sawtooth national forest. Mrs. Woods was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, also of Miriam chapter No. 14, Order of Eastern Star, and was a sustaining member of the Martha society. In addition to the husband, she is survived by one brother, Fred C. Blaisdell, Kansas City Mo., and one sister, Miss Hattie R. Blaisdell, Pittsburg, Kansas. Funeral announcement well be made by Kirkendall-Karling mortuary.
