      William True Woods was born in Madison Township,k Clarke county, Ia., on September 24, 1887 and passed away on December 7, 1964 at the Clarke county hospital. He had reached the age of 77 years, 2 months and 14 days. His entire life was sent in Clarke county, farming being his chief occupation. He was united in marriage to Minnie B. West April 6, 1910. to this union was born one son who died in infancy. In the year of 1911 a niece, Maimie West Warren was taken into the home and raised as a daughter. Mr. Woods was a long time member of the Methodist church, also Masonic Lodge, Eastern star and the Lions club. Mr Woods was preceded in death by his wife and infant son, his sister, Jessie Wright and three brothers, Vernon, Harvey and Floyd. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends. Mr. Woods was found ill in his home by his nephew, Wayne Woods of Osceola. Wayne and his wife came often these past several years to minister to the many needs of the uncle and this was deeply appreciated by True. Memorial services were held Thursday, Dec. 10, 1964 at the Watts-Soll Funeral Home in Murray, with Rev. Lester Greenwood officiating. Burial was in Union cemetery. Casket bearers were Ed Hickman, Kenneth Davidson, Everett Fenn, Edwin Allen, Clarence Fenn and Kenneth Winger. Musical selections were by Mrs. Edwin Allen and Mrs. Clell Camp with Mrs. Gael Davis, accompanist. Sunrise Lidge 396 A.F.&A.M conducted the graveside services.
