Albert E. "Ike" Woods, 83, of Tabor, Iowa, died Monday, Nov. 28, 1994, at Tabor Manor Care Center in Tabor, Iowa, following a brief illness. Ike was born May 20, 1911, near Imogene, Iowa, to Eugene Woods and Mabel (Kemmer) Woods. On Dec. 29, 1969, he married Velma "Susie" McGee in Sidney, Iowa. They made their home in Sidney and moved to Tabor in 1978. Ike was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Woods. He is survived by his wife, Velma "Susie" Woods, of Tabor, stepson, Sam Nichols, Council Bluffs, five brothers, Ed Woods, Lester Woods and Merle Woods, all of Shenandoah, Earl Woods, Red Oak, Allen Woods, Indiana, Pa., two sisters Ida Mutchler, Essex, and Lizzie Christensen, Riverside, Calif., numerous nephews and nieces, including Linda Bain of Pacific Jct., and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Monroe Cemetery in Imogene. The Rev. Lauris Meek of the Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Visitation is open after 4. p.m. on Tuesday at the Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel in Tabor. Memorials well go to the family. Military rites well be by the Rommel-Conklin VFW Post #70644 of Tabor. Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
