Marilla Klingensmith Woods, a retired widower residing in Pymatuning, Mercer, PA, born 3 Sep 1841 in PA to Jacob Klinginsmith, b. PA and Katherine Arthurholt, b. Mrs. Marilla Woods died at her home in Pymatuning township, on Monday forenoon, October 23, 1916, of complications of diseases. Mrs. Woods was 75 years of age. She was born in Pymatuning township, Mercer county, and spent her entire life there. Her husband died in July, 1913, and her only son and surviving heir died in July of 1915. She is survived by four brothers and two sisters: Reuben, of Transfer; Ransom, of Weaver, Iowa; Orlo, of Oklahoma, and Jacob of Unionville, Mo., Mrs. E.O. Damerer of Transfer, and Mrs. Felicia Donean, of Griard, Kansas, besides a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Woods was a life-ling member and a regular communicant of the Baptist church, until prohibited by ill health. She was a consistent Christian, a loveable neighbor, and her daily life won for her many friends. She was also a member of the P.H.C. at Transfer. Interment will be made Wednesday at 2:30 at the Baptist cemetery at Transfer, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Snyder.
