PEKIN - Walter L. Baker, 81, of 3659 Upper Mountain Road, lifelong farmer here, died Friday (June 8, 1961) at Ransomville General Hospital where he had been a patient for six weeks. Mr. Baker was born on the family farm where he lived all his life except for two years after he was married. He was a member of Pekin Grange. Surviving are his widow, Maude Leech Baker, a daughter, Mrs. S. Edward Eggleston, Pekin, and three grandchildren. Friends may call at the Pike & Jones Funeral Home, Sanborn, where services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday by Rev. Duane A. Kofahl of Pekin Methodist Church. Burial well be in Mt. View Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.
