OZONA - Services for Hubert Weldon Baker, 75, of Ozona, are set for 3:300 p.m. today in the Ozona Church of Christ, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery under direction of Janes Funeral Home. Baker died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Shannon Hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1902, in Tennyson and had lived in Ozona since 1927. He operated a grocery store in Ozona for 16 years, and was a salesman for 23 years for Martin-Glover Wholesale. He was manager of the Ozona Chamber of Commerce for eight years and retired in March 1974. Baker was also past worshipful master of the Ozona Masonic Lodge, and received his 50-year pin in 1974. He was a member of the Texas Old-Time Fiddlers Association and was an elder of the Ozona Church of Christ for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Lottie Lee, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. A.J. Pakkila of Fredericksburg; one sister Mrs. J.E. Butler of San Angelo; and two brothers, Clifford Baker and Neal Baker, both of San Angelo; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
