JAMES BAKER
PECOS (Staff) - Services for James Artemus Baker, 79, of Pecos, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Lockney with burial in Lockney Cemetery under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home. Baker died at 5 a.m. Sunday in Reeves County Memorial Hospital in Pecos following a long illness, Born Sept. 22, 1896, in Lockney, he had been a resident of Pecos since 1947. He was in the irrigation business. Survivors include his widow, Truus; a daughter, Mary Alice Gonzales of Lubbock; a son Keven Baker of Lubbock; three brothers Franc Baker of Lubbock, Norton Baker of Amarillo and Dorsey Baker of Lockney; six sisters, Mrs. Meda Honeny and Mrs. Dimple McGavock, both of Lockney, Mrs. Nell Davenport of Boulder, Colo., Mrs Lee Saemen of Plainview, Mrs Mary Phillips and Mrs Helen Gross, both of Port Lavaca and three grandchildren.
