N.A. Baker, 69, Native Of Dallas County, Dies
Norton Amos Baker, 69, a native of Dallas County and first postmaster at Spur, Dickens County, died Tuesday at his home, 837 West Davis. Mr. Baker was born Sept. 9, 1873, at Lancaster. He was in the hardware, furniture and air conditioning business before coming to Dallas, where he served as manager of the Dallas Table Pad Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gay Miller Baker; a daughter, Mrs. W.H. Ostrander, Manhattan Beach, Calif.; four sister, Mrs. Jane Edgar, Hamilton; Mrs. L.C. Mathis, Lometa; Mrs Malcolm A. Boone, Dallas, and Mrs. J.F. Nicholson, Hamilton; a brother John B. Baker, Dallas, and two grandsons. Burial will be at Hamilton Wednesday at 2 p.m.
