MRS. M.R. HILL
TRENTON, Tenn., Oct. 15 - Mrs. M.R. Hill, widow of Colonel M.R. Hill and mother of [unreadable] Spl Hill, died at the residence of her granddaughters, Misses Lucy and Munson Hill, Friday, and was buried Saturday, J.W. Irlon of the Methodist church officiating. She was born near Richmond, Va,. in 1825, and was married in 1844, and came to Trenton in 1847. She was one of the charter member of the Local 17, D.C. She was the mother of eight children, all of whom she has outlived. The following grand-children survive her - Misses Lucy and Munson Hill of Trenton, Misses Annie and Bessie Dye and Munson Dye of Memphis. - from "Tennessee, Death Records, 1908-1958" (ancestry.com)
