  from "The Daily Illinois State Journal", 11 Aug 1964 (genealogybank.com) William H. Richards, 71, of 600 S. 4th St., died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital. He was a member of the Association of Commerce and Industry, the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, 153, and the Lions Club. Mr. Richards was born in Springfield and was the son of William H. and Mary M. Richards. He was in the advertising specialties business. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Carl Hass officiating at the Smith Funeral Chapel. Burial well be in Oak Ridge Abbey.
