  from "The Daily Illinois State Journal", 31 Jan 1947 (genealogybank.com) RICHARDS, MISS JANE - Of 600 South Fourth street, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1947. Survived by two brothers, W.H. Richard and A.J. Richard, both of Springfield. Remains were removed to the Thomas C.Smith Sons funeral home, where they may be viewed from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday to time of service. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel, Rev. Charles B. Tupper officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge cemetery. Please omit flowers.
