  from "The Olympia Morning Olypian", 28 May 1897 (genealogybank.com) Leo Fitzmaurice, the 18-year-old son of Martin Fitzmaurice, living at Tualco, in Snohomish county, recently drowned in a small lake or pond near his home. He and some other young lads were in bathing in the lake, and in jumping from one canoe to another, young Fitzmaurice fell in, and before any one could come to his assistance he drowned. His body was recovered.
