Sudden Death of W.J. Brown in Frisco
W.J. Brown, brother of Fire Chief Brown, died suddenly in San Francisco yesterday. He was 37 years of age. Death was due to heart failure and the news was a shock to his many friends here. The body will be brought to San Jose this morning and the funeral arrangements will be made.
Besides his parents he is survived by three brothers and fours sisters. They are Richard and Eugene Brown of San Jose, Peter L Brown of San Francisco. Mrs. Albert Richards and Mrs. J.J. Jennings of San Jose, Mrs. J.W. Hindle of San Francisco and Mrs. H Kenyon of San Martin. No arrangements for the funeral have been made.

BROWN - In this city, July 26, 1909, William J. Brown, dearly beloved son of William D. and Johanna C. Brown, and loving brother to Peter L., Richard F. and Eugene L. Brown, Mrs. Albert Richards, Mrs. J.W. Hindle, Mrs Harrie Kenyon, Mrs George Jennings and the late Mrs. Tessie McCann, a native of San Jose, Cal., aged 37 years and 18 days. A member of San Jose aerie No. 8, F.O.E., and San Francisco lodge No. 2, Knights Royal Arch. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend the funeral tomorrow (Thursday), July 29, 1909, at 1 o'clock p.m., from the family residence, 93 Colfax street, San Jose. Interment Oak Hill cemetery.
