  from "The La Crosse Tribune And Leader-Press", 24 Sept 1919 (newspaperarchive.com) Mrs. John A. Volz, formerly Miss Catherine Lehman of La Crosse, died yesterday at her home in Anahiem, Cal., after an illness with typhoid fever, according to word received by the relatives here. Mrs. Volz and her husband were both La Crosse people. They left this city about ten years ago, and have since lived on the west coast. Mrs. Volz was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lehnen, 1222 South Sixth street. She is survived by her husband, her parents, and five children, as well as five sisters. Ther children are Frank, Leo, Alois, Catherine, and Helen. Two of Mrs. Volz's sisters are residents of La Crosse; Miss Elizabeth Lehnen and Mrs. A.J. Loeffler. Another sister is Mrs. F. J. Noetzel, Milwaukee. Two other sisters live in Anaheim, Mrs. Herman P. Noll and Mrs. Charles W. Osborne. Funeral services and interment will probably take place in Anaheim.
