Captain H.C. Perkins, former county engineer, received word yesterday from Milwaukee, Wis., notifying him of the death of his brother, Jewett Perkins at that place yesterday morning. BROTHER OF SAGINAW MAN IS DEAD AT HOME IN MILWAUKEE
J. Jewett Perkins, 74 Years Old, Visited Relative in This City Last Fall
Edward A. Perkins, 2117 North Michigan avenue, received a telegram Sunday announcing the death at Milwaukee of his brother, J. Jewett Perkins. The body will be taken to Detroit for burial, Mrs. J.J. Perkins being buried there. Deceased visited here with his brother, Edward, last fall, and his daughter, Mrs. May McGibney, came from New York to be of the party. From Saginaw Mr. Perkins went to Philadelphia to visit his son, Frank, and then Chicago, where he stayed a while with another daughter, Mrs. E.E. Baldwin. He went home to Milwaukee, and after a brief illness died. The Chicago daughter will bring the body to Detroit, where the funeral will take place Wednesday. J. Jewett Perkins was the youngest of four brothers, and was 74 years of age. He was a civil war veteran. Three brothers survive, being Henry C. Perkins, city engineer at Leavenworth, Kas.; Samuel R. Perkins, living in Oklahoma, and Edward A. Perkins of Saginaw.
