  from "The Saratogian", 30 Sept 1931 FORTSVILLE MAN KILLED BY AUTO AT NEVERVILLE Body of Ervin Palmer, 81, To Be Brought To Saratoga For Funeral Ervin Palmer, 81, a well-known resident of Fortsville, was struck by a car and instantly killed while walking along the state highway at Niverville near Kinderhook, last night. He had been visiting his nephew, Ira Van Allen, of Niverville. Mr. Palmer was born in the town of Moreau, May 5, 1850, and had been a lifelong resident of that vicinity. He is survived by two daughter, Mrs. Helen Albright, of Fortsville, and Mrs. Harry Kendall, of Glens Falls, and four grandchildren. The body will be brought to Saratoga Springs tomorrow. Funeral services will be conducted at the Kark Funeral Home, Friday afternoon at 1:30 o;clock. The Rev. George Swarts of Cohoes will officiate. Burial will be in Greenridge cemetery.
