Augustus B. Palmer, 67 years old, son of the late Ira Palmer and Aurelia Billings Palmer died Monday in his home near Fortsville, in the town of Moreau. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. J. Jacobie of Palmer Falls, a brother, Ervin Palmer, who resided with him, and several nephews and nieces. He was a man of sterling Christian character, a member of the M.E. church, of Fortsville, and also a member of the grange. Palmer Estate
By the terms of the will of Augustus B. Palmer, late of the Town of Moreau, which has been admitted to probate, the farm and all its equipment on which Mr. Palmer resided, is left to his brother, Ervin Palmer. The value of the estate is estimated at $7,500 in personal property, and $4,500 in real estate, according to the provisions of the will, $2,000 will go to Sara E. Palmer, wife of Ervin Palmer, at her husband's death; $2,000 is left to William C. Sherman, the executor, in trust for Saddie Palmer, a neice; Nellie Albright and Bessie Kendall, nieces, will receive $500 each; $200 each to Cora M. Winchester and Maggie S. Mead, nieces; and $200 is left to each of the six children of his dead sister, Mary E. Van Allen.
