  from "The Lockport Union-Sun and Journal", 17 Dec 1918 (findagrave.com) George W. Wood, died this Tuesday morning Dec. 17th at the City Hospital. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carl Dillman, Mrs. Mary Tiffany of Victor, N. Y., one son John Wood of Medina, two brothers Ralph of Middleport and Riley Wood of Buffalo. The funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 10:30 at the Undertaking Parlors of Taylor & Reynolds. The remains will be interred in Victor, N. Y. Mr. Wood was a member of the G. A. R.
