Mrs. Katherine Elizabeth Hoover, wife of T. J. Hoover, south of Thompson, departed this life April 13, 1913. Her maiden name was Walker. She was born in Mercer county, Pa., Feb. 1, 1845. Was married to Thomas J. Hoover Sept. 13, 1865. To this union were born eight children, one daughter and seven sons. Besides her husband, she is survived by the daughter, Mrs. D. W. McKeehan, and Charles, Jesse and Frank Hoover, all of the Thompson neighborhood. Mrs. Hoover was a devoted Christian; united with the M. E. church in early youth. Rev. W. F. Dunkle, pastor of the Mexico Methodist church, conducted funeral services at Hopewell church in Thompson Monday afternoon.
