G. Lawrence Perkins, of "Little Slocum", Portsmouth, who also had residences in Pomfret, Conn., and New York city, died Sunday in Boca Grand, Fla., after a long illness. A funeral service was held in St. Thomas Church, New York, Wednesday morning. Burial was in the Laurel Hill cemetery, Philadelphia. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Perkins was the son of the late Benjamin and Josephine Welsh Perkins. He spent much time in traveling and was a connoisseur of the arts. In the World war, he served in France with the Y.M.C.A. He was a member of the Union, Brock and the Racquet Clubs. He left here last fall for Florida after a prolonged illness, during which specialists were brought here. Surviving are a brother, Russell Perkins of Pomfret and New York; a nephew and an niece, Robert and Constance Sherwin of New York, and two nephews in England, Day and Laurence Kimball, who are serving with the British army.

The death of Mrs. Maria Baker of Erie, Pa., occurred Saturday evening, Nov. 26, after a short illness at the age of 81 years. Death was attributed to paralysis. She was the widow of the late Fred Baker who passed away at their home at Eden, N.Y., about seven years ago. She is survived by a son Arthur of Cambria, and a daughter, Mrs. Bert Swick of Erie, Pa., with whom she had been living for the past few years, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Cambria Center church at 2:30 o'clock on Tuesday, November 29. Burial will be in Cambria Center cemetery.

William M Emerson, 70, of 8726 Frontier avenue, died at the Buffalo General hospital early today. Born in Riga, N.Y. he had resided here 28 years and was formerly employed as an electrician by the Carborundum company. Mr. Emerson was a member of Hesperus Lodge. No. 837, F. and A.M., of Bergen, N.Y., which he joined in the same class as the late Dr. Frank J. Tone, who died here last week. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.Lillian Emerson; three sons. James, in the U.S. Navy on the Pacific, George, with the U.S. Air Force in England, and Carl, with the U.S. Army in England: a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn. Litchard, of this city, and two grandchildren. Services will be held at the Cornell and Daggett funeral chapel at 3 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Elton C. Schwinger officiating. Interment will be made in Memorial Park cemetery.

BURT SWICK DIES
Member of Old Niagara County Family Passes at Home in Erie, Pa.
Burt A. Swick, brother of Ira and John L Swick of Niagara avenue, this city, and member of a pioneer Niagara county family, died yesterday afternoon at his home in Erie. Pa. Funeral services will be held at North Ridge at 2 p. m Saturday. Born near Wilson, Mr. Swick had lived in Erie most of his life. Besides his brothers here, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Swick, and a daughter, Hilda, of Erie; two other brothers, Homer E., of Kane, Pa., and Eugene, of Jackson, Mich., and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Brace, of Detroit, and Mrs. Emma Lafler, of North Ridge.

WILLARD BOBST DIES
73-year-old City Employee Passes After Several Weeks Illness.
Willard Bobst, 73-year-old city employee, of 335 Eighth street, died in Mount St. Mary's hospital yesterday afternoon, after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Bobst, who came to Niagara Falls from Sanborn 41 years ago, had been employed by the city for 35 years. During recent years he was in charge of the city's gasoline pumps. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Matilda Bobst; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Flynn, of Dunkirk, and Mrs. George Hollway, of Sanborn; two sons, George A. and Alfred J. Bobst, of this city, and a stepson, William T. Kennedy, all of this city. Funeral services will be held at Memorial Park chapel at 3:30 pm, Friday, with the Rev. Dr. Arthur H. Schmoyer officiating.

L.D. Croxson Dies; Ex-Town Justice
Leslie D. Croxson, 71, of 6767 Akron Road, a former town justice in the Town of Lockport, died Monday (July 21, 1969) at Lockport Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born here Feb. 12, 1898, in the family homestead in Akron Road, he was the son of Eugene F. and Cora Day Croxson and was graduated from Lockport High School in 1912, the president of his class. A veteran of World War I, he served with the. U.S. Army overseas. For many years he was employed by the Badger Gummed Tape Co. of Racine, Wis., with headquarters in Lakeland, Fla. He retired in 1957 from the Harrison Radiator Division ,_of General Motors Corp. here, where he had been employer for 18 years as a regional sales engineer A Republican, he served two years as a town justice for the Town of Lockport and was a Republican town committeeman for 25 years. He also served as a member of the Niagara Count Republican executive committee for 14 years. He was a member of Lockport Lodge. 73, F&AM, the John Hodge Lodge of Perfection , the Buffalo Consistory, and the American Legion, B. Leo Dolan Post 410. He was a charter member and more recently an exempt member of the South Lockport Fire Co. Hs was also a member of the. First English Lutheran Church here. He is survived by his wife, Edith Emerson Croxson; a daughter, Mrs. William (Jean) Demler of Williamsville; a son, Denson D. Croxson of Rochester and three grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Robert L. Croxson. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ivan L. Lange, pastor emeritus of the First English Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorials may be, made tothe abiding memorial fund ofthe First English Lutheran Church.

Youngstown Social Circles Receive a Surpise in the Marriage of a Belle on Sunday Evening.
WEDDED IN NIAGARA FALLS, ONT.
YOUNGSTOWN, Aug. 24.-[Special.]-An elopement has caused considerable gossip among the inhabitants of this burg. Miss
Nellie Cadaback, daughter of Capt. Harvey Cudaback and wife, was married on Sunday evening, August 20, to William R. McClelland, of Niagara, Ont. The young couple left this village Sunday eveniug and drove to Niagara. Falls, Ont., where the ceremony was performed in Christ church by the Rev. Richard Harrison, rector of St. Mathias church in Toronto. The young lady in question is a society belle and it is understood was engaged to a young gentleman in New York city. Tbe marriage was to have occurred next month, but it now appears that Canada will receive the handsome young lady. Mr. McClelland is a popular young man in Niagara, where he conducts a large grocery store. The happy couple willmake their home in that town.

MIDDLEPORT - Mrs. Mabel LaBar, 88, of 10234 Johnson Road, died Saturday (Aug. 22, 1970) at Medina Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The widow of the late Burt C. LaBar, who died in 1945, she was born Feb. 8, 1882 in the Town of Fayette, N.Y., the daughter of George and Sophronia (Stahl) Long Jr. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church on Chestnut Ridge Road, Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Winifred Fry of this village, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. H.C. Ketcham, Former Middleport Man, Dies
MIDDLEPORT, July 25 - Word was received here today of the death of Herbert C. Ketcham, 81, a former resident of Middleport, who died Monday at his home in Salisbury, Md. Mr. Ketcham is survived by his wife, Nettie Le Bar Ketcham; one son, Jon C. Ketcham, Sr., and two grandchildren, Charlotte and John C. Ketcham, Jr., of New York City. Mr. Ketcham was a resident of Middleport for several years, and was a member of the Jackson-Ketcham company, which cleared and brought under cultivation, the muck land in Peet street, south of Middleport, now known as the Royalton Farms Co., Inc.

Mrs. Carrie Mabon, 94, of 159 Sixty-seventh street, died today In Memorial hospital. In declining health for the last few months, she fell and sustained a hip Injury three weeks ago. Born In Cambria Center, she had lived In Niagara Falls and vicinity all her life. She was a member of First Methodist church at the time of her death. Surviving are two sons, Carl R., this city, and Roy. W., Niagara Falls, Ont.; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Landy, this city; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The Rev. John A. Redmond will officiate at funeral services at 1:30 p. m. Monday at the Bell Funeral chapel, 635 Main street. Interment will be in Mount View cemetery, Pekin.

DR. DEWHIRST IS CALLED BY DEATH
MIDDLEPORT, July 3. - Dr. Almon Dewhirst died at his home in State street late Saturday afternoon after a brief Illness of two days. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Mary Dewhirst, one daughter. Elisabeth, and one son, Winthrop, both at home. Dr. Dewhirst was born In North Hartland and had lived In this vicinity his entire life of 69 years. Had he lived 10 more days he would have been 70 years old. He had practiced medicine In this village for the past 47 years. Funeral services were held this afternoon from the family home at 2:30 o'clock and at the Unlversalist church at 3 o'clock. The Rev. Mr. Evans officiated. Interment was in Hartland Central cemetery. Cararact lodge. F. and A. M., No. 295, had charge of the services at the grave.

The funeral of Mrs. Nora Richardson who, after having suffered a stroke, died at her home in North Collins Tuesday evening, held from the family home Friday afternoon. The deceased was a sister of Messrs. Edward and Walter Baker of this village. Those attending from Pekin were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Baker. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Baker, Mr. and Mrs. George Hollaway, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mayer, and Mrs. Albert Hutzel. Mrs. Richardson was well known in this community, having been born at the Baker home on the Mountain Road.

Passed Away Suddenly at Canandaigua Home
Mrs. Emma L Barre Sprague, aged 77, a former resident of East avenue, this city died suddenly at her late residence at Canandaigua, Wednesday night last, from heart trouble. She left Lockport about 20 years ago, following the death of her husband, George Sprague, who also passed away suddenly. Mrs. Sprague is survived by two brothers Charles Wesley La Barre, of the Swift Road, town of Cambria, and John W La Barre, of the town of Royalton. Funeral services were held at the late home of the deceased at Canandaigua this afternoon, and the body will be brought here tomorrow for burial at the Glenwood cemetery.

DEATH SUMMONS PROMINENT WOMAN
Mrs. Lydia Baker Dies After Short Illness In Alameda
ALAMEDA, Aug 10. - Death yesterday summoned Mrs. Lydia Baker, widow of Rev. E.P. Baker, a former prominent Congregational minister. Mrs. Baker had been ill at the local sanatorium for about a week, having suffered a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Baker was a native of Vermont, and 85 years of age. She came to California in 1871, and had resided in this state since that time, with the exception of the years her husband was pastor of the Congregational church in Hilo, Hawaii. Rev. E.P. Baker passed away about fifteen years ago. Mrs. Baker was the mother of Mrs. Foster P. Cole of 2938 Avalon avenue, Berkeley, sister of Rev. T.K. Noble, who was pastor of the Plymouth Congregational church in San Francisco. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from Mrs. Cole's home in Berkeley.

The death of Louis F. Baker occurred yesterday at his residence on Versailles avenue. The deceased was a memeber of the Society of California Pioneers and resided in Alameda four years. He was 68 years of age and a native of Boston and leaves a widow and two sons.

Pardons for two Alameda County residents who have served terms in San Quentin Prison have been issued by Gov. Earl Warren, the Associated Press reported from Sacramento today. The pardons were issued to William B. Turner, 52, who in 1947 was a patient at the county hospital at Arroyo del Valle, and Frank Nordhoff, 47, who in the same year made his home at 916 Blossom Way, Hayward. Turner, who pleaded guilty to passing bad checks while on parole in Sacramento from a previous conviction for the same offense in 1938, was ordered to serve the unexpired portion of the term. He was released from San Quentin in 1941. Nordhoff was convicted in Los Angeles County in 1922 for robbery and was imprisoned at San Quentin until 1934.

It is stated that the decedent left a well bequeathing her property to her sister, Sarah, who is named as executrix, and her father, Benjamin, both residing at 1678 Broadway. Her property consists solely of an interest in the estate of her grandmother, Sarah A. Huntington, of Norwich, Conn., which estate is now in probate and from which she expected to realize $12,000.

BERKELEY, April 19. - C. Alvin Muller, 73, garageman who became Berkeley's bee expert, died last night at his home, 2023 Bancroft Way, after an illness several months. Muller took up the care of bees as a hobby and became so proficient that he frequently was called in to move swarms or to five advice to amateurs on their care. A native of San Francisco, he had lived in Berkeley since 1905 and was a pioneer tire and garage man. He was past master of the South San Francisco Blue lodge of Masons, a member of Berkeley Commandry of Knights Templar, and of Aahmes Temple of the Shrine of Oakland. The Blue Lodge will conduct the funeral services at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Berg chapel, 1936 University Avenue. Cremation will follow. He is survived by his widow, Maye C. Muller, and a son, Vernon C. Muller, both of Berkeley.

BERKELEY, Jan. 22 - Raymond Muller, 42, a telephone equipment salesman and son of Berkeley's famed bee expert, died today at his home at 2023 Bancroft Way, after a brief illness. Muller, a native of San Francisco. was graduated from Berkeley High School and attended the University of California, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Sigma fraternity. He is survived by this parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Muller, and a brother, Vernon Muller, of Berkeley. The father is a garage man by vocation and a bee man by avocation. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Berg's Mortuary.

Alvin Muller, known as Berkeley's "Bee Man." Mrs. Muller, born in San Bruno, had been a resident of Berkeley for the past 40 years. She is survived by a son, Vernon, an employee of the Berkeley postoffice. Services were held this afternoon at the McNary-Berg Chapel, followed by cremation. The Rev. P.M. Ft. McCoy - Laura May Blackhurst Baker Brelick, 91, of Fort McCoy, FL, formerly from Midland, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior at the Meadowbrook Nursing Facility in Bellaire, MI on August 26, 2012.
She was born May 7, 1921 in Midland, MI, daughter of Edward and Cora (Lantz) Blackhurst. Laura married Gareld (Jerry) Baker in 1945. They resided in Midland, MI. He proceeded her in death on April 20, 1976. After Jerry's death, Laura moved to Florida, where she met and married Michael Brelick. He died on June 29, 2006. Laura is survived by daughter, Barbara (Charlie) Guntermann of Fort McCoy, FL, daughter, Connie Kobel of Bellaire, MI, and son Dennis (Betty) Baker of Tyler, TX, sister, Ruth Berryhill of Big Rapids, MI, sisters-in-law, Christine Baker of McHenry, IL, Ethel (Baker) Grover of McMinnville, TN, and Mildred (Baker) Skinner of Zeeland, MI, and many nieces and nephews. Laura leaves her precious grandchildren, Kimberly Lane, Orlando, FL, Charles Guntermann III, Fort McCoy, FL, Curtis Guntermann, Orlando, FL, Jeff (Trisha Engler) Baker, Orlando, FL, Cathy (Ryan) Valeriano, Orlando, FL, Stephanie (Jason) Castlebury, Longview, TX, Todd (Cathy) Kobel, St. Clair Shores, MI, Kelly (Rob) Bailey, Bellaire, MI, 15 great-grandchildren that she loved very much, and six very special great-great-grandchildren. She was a very precious and caring mother and grandmother, she will be missed dearly. Laura grew up in Midland, MI and was an active member of the United Methodist Church. She was a leader in 4-H and the PTA when her children were young. After moving to Florida, she joined the United Methodist Church of Lady Lake and Fort McCoy, FL, where she was very active and the leader of various clubs within her church. She loved to travel, working on her many craft projects and loved to read, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. Services will be held noon on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Midland Memorial Gardens in Midland, MI with viewing prior to the service.

Services for Floy E. Baker, 88, of 2510 West Eighth, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo with burial in Miles Cemetery. Mrs. Baker died at 2:17 a.m. Friday at Western Hills Manor Nursing Home. Justice of the Peace Virgil Lumpee ruled her death was due to natural causes. She was born Oct. 29, 1889 in Floresville and was married to James A. Baker in Ballinger in 1909. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include three sons, Frank Baker of Odessa, Aftom Baker of Paragould, Ark. and Raymond Baker of Houston; one brother, C.A. Stroud of Odessa; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

PLAINVIEW (Staff) - Services for Robert Baker, 71, lifelong resident of Plainview and Lockney and brother of Artie Baker, Pecos, tentatively are set for 10 a.m. Monday. He was killed in an airplane crash Thursday in Oklahoma City, Okla. President of San Angelo's Monarch Tile Manufacturing Co., he had resided in San Angelo 25 years. Born Aug. 19, 1923, in Bronte, he was married to Marion Katheryn Saenger June 7, 1947, in San Angelo. He had been associated with Monarch since 1946. BIG LAKE - Jim L. Daniels, 75, a Reagan County commissioner, died Thursday morning at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church in Big Lake with burial in Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake, directed by Johnson's Funeral Home of San Angelo. Born June 7, 1900 in Annona, he married Zyla Baker Nov. 10, 1923 in Dallas. He had been a Mason since 1924 and was a member of the Sprayberry Lodge, which he helped to organize. He had been a Reagan County commissioner of Precinct 4 for 13 years, was president of Reagan County Loins Club, and a member of Big Lake Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; a brother, C.M. Daniels of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. W.H. Burton of Dallas; and several nieces and new nephews.

OZONA - Services for Hubert Weldon Baker, 75, of Ozona, are set for 3:300 p.m. today in the Ozona Church of Christ, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery under direction of Janes Funeral Home. Baker died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Shannon Hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1902, in Tennyson and had lived in Ozona since 1927. He operated a grocery store in Ozona for 16 years, and was a salesman for 23 years for Martin-Glover Wholesale. He was manager of the Ozona Chamber of Commerce for eight years and retired in March 1974. Baker was also past worshipful master of the Ozona Masonic Lodge, and received his 50-year pin in 1974. He was a member of the Texas Old-Time Fiddlers Association and was an elder of the Ozona Church of Christ for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Lottie Lee, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. A.J. Pakkila of Fredericksburg; one sister Mrs. J.E. Butler of San Angelo; and two brothers, Clifford Baker and Neal Baker, both of San Angelo; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

PECOS (Staff) - Services for James Artemus Baker, 79, of Pecos, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Lockney with burial in Lockney Cemetery under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home. Baker died at 5 a.m. Sunday in Reeves County Memorial Hospital in Pecos following a long illness, Born Sept. 22, 1896, in Lockney, he had been a resident of Pecos since 1947. He was in the irrigation business. Survivors include his widow, Truus; a daughter, Mary Alice Gonzales of Lubbock; a son Keven Baker of Lubbock; three brothers Franc Baker of Lubbock, Norton Baker of Amarillo and Dorsey Baker of Lockney; six sisters, Mrs. Meda Honeny and Mrs. Dimple McGavock, both of Lockney, Mrs. Nell Davenport of Boulder, Colo., Mrs Lee Saemen of Plainview, Mrs Mary Phillips and Mrs Helen Gross, both of Port Lavaca and three grandchildren.

MRS. BERTHA B. WOODS, 68, DIES
Wife of Regional Forest Official Had Been Ill Many Months
Mrs. Bertha Blaisdell Woods, 68, wife of Assistant Regional Forester Clarence N. Woods, 2751 Harrison avenue, died today at the family home, of carcinoma. Mrs. Woods had been a sufferer for many months. Mrs. Woods was born December 31, 1865, near Pittsburg, Kansas, and in that state she obtained her education. More than 35 years ago she moved to Idaho and taught in the schools of Caldwell, Boise and Halley. She was elected to two terms as school superintendent of Blaine county. She and Mr. Woods were married in Nampa, Idaho, March 5, 1913, and the following year moved to Ogden, which has since been the family home. Mr. Woods was formerly supervisor of the Sawtooth national forest. Mrs. Woods was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, also of Miriam chapter No. 14, Order of Eastern Star, and was a sustaining member of the Martha society. In addition to the husband, she is survived by one brother, Fred C. Blaisdell, Kansas City Mo., and one sister, Miss Hattie R. Blaisdell, Pittsburg, Kansas. Funeral announcement well be made by Kirkendall-Karling mortuary.

Ex-Regional Forester C.N. Woods Succumbs
C.N. Woods, 88, 2751 Harrison, retired chief forester of the Region Four, died today of natural causes at the Dee Hospital. Mr. Woods was prominent in civic affairs in Ogden for may years. He was born Nov. 17, 1875, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Isaac N. and Augusta Miller Woods. Mr. Woods was married to Bertha Blaisdell March 5, 1913, in Hailey, Idaho. She died Sept. 17, 1934 in Ogden. He married Geneve S. Reeve in Ogden Sept. 23, 1935. Mr. Woods received forestry and law degrees and was a Spanish American War veteran. He joined the U.S. Forest Service in 1902 as a ranger in the general land office, Department of the Interior. In 1905 he was assigned to the Teton National Forest in Wyoming and, in 1908, was transferred to the Sawtooth National Forest, Idaho, as a supervisor. Mr. Woods joined the Ogden regional office in 1914. He became assistant regional forester in 1930 and was appointed regional forester in 1939. He retired Dec. 31, 1943. He was a director of the Ogden Chamber of Commerce, a member of Rotary Club and president of the Lake Bonneville Scout Council. Mr. Woods was a recipient of the council's Silver Beaver award for his contributions to scouting. Surviving are his widow of Ogden, two stepsons, John O. Reeve, Odgen; Lt. Col. William S. Reeve, stationed with the Air Force in Germany; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Barbara Butler, Centerville and 11 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Aultorest Mortuary.

MORRISTOWN NATIVE DIED IN GOUVERNEUR
Gouverneur - George Palmer, 80, Park Street, died at 1 a.m. Thursday in the Van Duree Hospital, where he was taken a week ago with a broken hip. Mr. Palmer was born at Morristown Aug. 7, 1857, his parents being Kayton and Lucinda Green Palmer. He spent hearly all of his life in Gouverneur and was a carpenter and Mechanic for many years in the Gouverneur marble quarries. He had been retired for several years. Mrs. Palmer was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge, joining as charter member of the Brier Hill lodge. The survivors are one brother, Wilson H., and a sister, Mrs. Cora Ackerman, both of Ogdensburg. His wife, Mrs. Ida Krake Palmer died December, 1934. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. J.A. Schofield, pastor of the Presbyterian church. The lodge will have charge of the committal services at the grave in Riverside Cemetery.

ASA PALMER DROPPED DEAD AT MORRISTOWN
Asa Palmer, a well known resident of Morristown, dropped dead at his home there last night. He was about 60 years old and leaves a wife, a son and a daughter. Mr. Palmer was well-known in Ogdensburg. He formerly was a travelling man and also kept a general store at Morristown. The news of his sudden death was a great shock to his friends here

Mrs. Nora Palmer Howard, wife of Edgar E. Howard, died after a somewhat prolonged illness, of lung trouble, at Liberty, Sullivan county, on Saturday morning, June 25. The body was brought to Morristown, this county, for burial, where the funeral was held on the Sunday. Mrs. Howard was thirty-four years of age. She leaves two sons, ten and fourteen years of age respectively. Mr. Howard, who accomplished his sad errand at Morristown, will visit his mother and sister in this village some time this week. - Canton Plaindealer.

BRIER HILL, Feb. 28, - Our community was grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Lucinda Palmer, which occurred at her late home, Wednesday morning, Feb, 28, 1927 of bronchial pneumonia. Mrs. Palmer was born in Jefferson county, Feb. 12, 1833. Her maiden name was Lucinda Greene. In 1850 she was married to Dayton Palmer, coming to Brier Hill in 1860. Mr. Palmer served int he Civil war and his death occurred 33 years ago, Feb. 12, 1894, the date of Mrs. Palmer's birthday. Since his death Mrs. Cora Ackerman, the only daughter, has resided with her mother. To Mr. and Mrs. Palmer were born six children, five of whom are living, one having died in infancy. Mrs. Palmer was a member of the Lutheran church in which she was an active member until her advancing age prevented her activities. She was a very quiet woman, devoted to her home and will be sadly missed. She was 94 years old Feb. 12, having been taken ill on her birthday and is the last of her family. She was always to be seen sitting on the veranda, when the weather permitted and always had a word of cheer and good will to the passers-by. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Ackerman, and four sons;: Wilson, of Ogdensburg; George and William of Gouverneur; Edward of Indiana: two grandchildren, Mrs. Evelyn McWilliams, daughter of Mrs. Ackerman, Brier Hill and Donald, son of William Palmer, Carthage; three great grandchildren ,Marguerite and William, children of Donald Palmer and Norma, daughter of Mrs. McWilliams. The funeral was held Friday, Feb. 25, from her late home. Rev. McLaughlin, pastor of the Young Memorial church officiating. Burial in Brier Hill cemetery. Mrs. Palmer had lived to the ripe old age and she was fully prepared and willing to meet her Maker. "They will be done." The sympathy of the community is with the sorrowing family.

ASA L. PALMER
Morristown, Aug. 17. - Asa L. Palmer, a prominent citizen and until recently business man of Morristown, died suddenly at 9:15 this morning at his residence in that village. He had not been in good health for two years and was continually under the care of a physician. This morning, however, he felt no worse than usual, and upon arising dressed himself. Shortly after Mrs. Palmer was attracted to his room by groans and found her husband lying prostrate across the bed. A doctor was summoned but before he arrived Mr. Palmer had breathed his last. Heart disease, of which he had been a victim, was the cause of death. The late Mr. Palmer, who was about 60 years of age, was born on the shore of Black Lake, six miles from the village. For many years he conducted a general store where the printing office is located, retiring two years ago on account of ill health. Deceased is survived by his wife, who is a daughter of late Dr Selee, and two children, Burton Palmer at home and Mrs. Robinson, of Elmira. He was a Mason and honoraary member of the I.O.F.

Mrs. Asa Loyal Palmer, of Morristown, died last evening at the City hospital following an operation for gall stones which she underwent several days ago. She had been in poor health for a couple of years. Mrs. Palmer was the daughter of the late D.A.D. Seely, formerly a well known physician in the Black Lake district. Her husband, who was a well-known Morristown business man, died about eight years ago. Mrs. Palmer is survived by a son, Albert D. S. Palmer, of New York, and a daughter.
